Driver [Ad-hoc]

Embrace Community Services provides residential support services for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and acquired brain injuries.

We are currently seeking a driver for our adult's residential house in Navan, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the safe transport of residents (and support staff) to any appointments, to and from day services, on outings, and any other driving duties as outlined by the Person in Charge / Team Leader in relation to the smooth running of the house. This is a ad-hoc position.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

· A full, clean, manual Irish / EU driving licence

· A kind and compassionate personality

· Good communication skills

· Good organisational skills

· Excellent timekeeping skills

· Fluent English (essential)

· Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (desirable)

· QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification (desirable but not essential)

And you must be:

· An experience, safe and careful driver

· Physically fit for assisting residents to get in and out of vehicles

· Able to navigate around an area using all means necessary

· Confident to work unsupervised

· An innovative team member with a strong commitment to the empowerment of people with a disability

Job Type: Specified-purpose

Pay: €15.00 per hour
