We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and lead key projects from concept to completion.
Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and execution of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all phases of the project, from initial concept and design through to installation and commissioning, working closely with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage all aspects of mechanical engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Design and Development: Collaborate with the design team to develop mechanical engineering solutions that meet client specifications, technical standards, and industry regulations.
- Client Interaction: Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical documents, including engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
- Site Coordination: Oversee site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and project requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all project work is carried out in line with quality standards and industry best practices, conducting regular inspections and testing where necessary.
- Supplier and Contractor Management: Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs, track expenses, and identify any potential cost-saving opportunities while ensuring project profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges within the project and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures to enhance project performance and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering project management, ideally within the industrial or construction sectors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from design through to completion.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, equipment installation, and fabrication.
- Experience working with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical engineering solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards in the engineering/construction industry.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Full clean driver’s license.
