Role Overview
Were looking for an enthusiastic and people-oriented Engagement Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (28 hours per week). In this key role, youll help build and nurture lasting connections with schools, local businesses, and community groupsbringing Pandas mission to life through educational outreach, community engagement, and support for local events and initiatives.
While formal qualifications arent required, were seeking someone whos a confident communicator, naturally proactive, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders. Youll be promoting recycling and waste reduction initiatives, and full training will be provided. If you're passionate about community, sustainability, and making a difference, this could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key liaison with schools, community organisations, and local businesses to maintain and strengthen existing partnerships.
Co-ordinate and lead on-site engagement activities, including presentations, workshops, and school or community visits.
Provide on-the-ground support at events, ensuring smooth operations and strong public representation.
Represent Panda at community events and meetings to enhance awareness, build trust, and deepen engagement with our environmental mission.
Deliver engaging and accessible educational sessions and promotional campaigns focused on recycling and environmental awareness.
Support the development of resources and materials to promote recycling behaviour change and environmental responsibility.
Maintain relationships with existing sponsors and partners, ensuring their contributions are recognised and agreements are fulfilled.
Provide updates and reports to sponsors to maximise continued support and collaboration.
Work closely with internal teams including marketing, sales, operations, and loyalty to ensure community activities are aligned with broader company initiatives.
Contribute to the roll-out of new recycling and sustainability initiatives across key regions.
Report regularly to the leadership team on outreach activity, partnership performance, and opportunities for future engagement.
Gather and share insights from the community to inform program improvements.
Travel & Flexibility
Regular travel is required for site visits, school engagements, and local events; a valid drivers licence and access to reliable transport is essential.
Availability for occasional evening or weekend events is required in line with community needs.

Excellent communication and presentation skills Capable of delivering engaging workshops and presentations, and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
