Transport & Logistics Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport & logistics Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager this role requires the individual to be responsible for developing and coordinating multi-drop deliveries to our customers nationwide on a daily basis in the most efficient manner to meet delivery demands.

The successful candidate will work alongside our existing dynamic and successful Team, based in our Head Office in Barntown, Co. Wexford. This role will suit an ambitious, self-motivated person to enhance the customer's experience of partnering with Pure Oil. We are looking for someone who has a demonstrable understanding of our transport planning and operational process. Relevant training will be provided on all related aspects of the transport planning systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To plan multi-drop delivery routes to be taken by each driver in the delivery of goods and products to our customers
• Utilise the company fleet effectively and efficiently to reduce the cost of delivery-related expenses
• Determine the most appropriate utilisation of truck space
• Liaising with the Logistics team and Depot Managers in co-ordinating routes.
• Understanding legal driving hours and adhering to the 'rules of the road', as well as conducting analysis of driver tachographs and accurately recording information.
• Responsible for monitoring daily KPI’s and report on weekly/monthly costings of the delivery of goods
• Review and enhance the efficiency of the routing and delivery activity
• Any other ad hoc transport-related tasks

Requirements:

• This position requires knowledge and a good understanding of transport planning and operational processes
• Experience working in the Logistics industry
• Be proficient with Excel and other IT packages with the ability to analyse and disseminate numerical data
• Knowledge and a good understanding of the tachograph rules (EU & UK) for goods vehicles
• Have strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to work independently
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be adaptable to change
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance

Salary: DOE

Pay: €30,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
