Legal Costs Administrator

About the role:

Our client is currently recruiting for a Legal Costs Administrator to join their Accounts Team. This role can be based in Dublin or a hybrid role.

Ideally, you will have worked in a plaintiff litigation costs capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer matters from settlement of case to closure of file.
  • Maintain list of matters and their statuses.
  • Monitor office and client account costs on matters.
  • Create costs files for Legal Costs Accountant.
  • Reconcile matter costs to Legal Costs Accountant’s statement.
  • Communicate and correspond with Client, Legal Costs Accountants, Experts, and Legal Counsel.
  • File all case correspondence.
  • Prepare payments to clients, witnesses, and counsel.
  • Hold regular meetings with Partners and Legal Costs Accountants.
  • Set up new client profiles on case management system.
  • Handle client billing when required.
  • Post outlay to case management system.

Requirements:

  • Strong administration skills – letter writing.
  • Preparation of finance records.
  • Familiarity with Practice Evolve Case Management is an advantage.
  • Strong numeracy skills with impressive attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Prior experience with billing systems and client outlay.
  • Preferable legal cost accountant experience or litigation law, firms costs experience.
