Multiskilled Engineer (6 Months)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the supply, service, maintenance, and repair of all equipment within a very busy production site in order for output to be maintained at optimum efficiency. Preference will be given to applicants who are mechanically biased and/or who have extensive experience of refrigeration.

There is a subsidised canteen on site!

Essential Criteria:

• Welding experience including welding stainless steel
• Relevant Engineering experience within an industrial environment

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with Hydraulics
• Experience with Pneumatics
• PLC knowledge
• Refrigeration experience
• Full understanding and application of drawings and handbooks

Duties in the position:

• Check from log of anything needs repaired/welded from day before. There is S/steel welding nearly every day
• Startup main kill line
• Check saws are working, meat trimmers are working
• Check sterilisers are working and timers are working
• Check power supplies working for equipment - Power supplies are for hydraulic equipment.
• Check pneumatic air lines for leaks
• Check hide puller is working correctly
