Temporary Kitchen Porter

My client, a leading provider of catering and facilities services, is seeking a Temporary Kitchen Porter to join the team for short term of cover at a professional site in Naas, Co. Kildare

Position Overview:
As the Temporary Kitchen Porter, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout the site. You’ll be responsible for carrying out daily cleaning duties to a high standard, ensuring all areas are kept safe, tidy, and presentable.

This is a temporary ongoing position, with full-time hours from 7.00 AM to 3 PM/8 AM to 4 PM daily. The role offers a competitive rate of €13.50 per hour and is ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and available for immediate short-term work.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen porter role (residential, commercial or industrial preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks to a high standard
• Strong English communication skills – written and verbal
• Full right to work in Ireland
• Valid Manual Handling certificate is required
• Immediate availability

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of kitchen floors, walls, worktops, equipment, and food preparation areas to maintain hygiene standards
• Washing and sanitising pots, pans, utensils, crockery, and other kitchen items promptly and efficiently
• Assisting with the receipt and storage of deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and stored correctly
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment is maintained at all times
• Disposing of kitchen waste and recycling in line with health & safety procedures
• Following daily and weekly cleaning schedules, as well as all food safety and health & safety protocols
