#1 Cochran, the largest and most recognized automotive retailer in Southwestern Pennsylvania, is seeking a Human Resource Associate at our corporate offices located in Monroeville. This is a temporary assignment, expected to last three months, with conversion to full-time employment based on the needs of the organization and the performance of the successful candidate during this time.
The Human Resource Associate will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resources department.

Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and team members relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc., and refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Performs daily HR data-entry tasks and filing
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Provides clerical support to the HR department
- Conducts or assists with new hire onboarding
- Performs other duties as assigned by Senior HR Management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent people skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Tech savvy and willing to learn innovative technologies and HRIS systems. Paylocity or similar HRIS experience a huge plus
- Strong work ethic with desire to flourish in a collaborative team-based culture
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
- Prior office related or human resources clerical experience required
