Vice President, Business Development and Proposals
Business Technology Integrators (BTI), headquartered in Upper Marlboro, MD, is looking for an experienced Vice President, Business Development and Proposals to join our corporate team. This person will lead the successful execution of a variety of business development and proposal efforts from start to finish.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced environments whose duties will include:
- Leads proposal management and development for business pursuits in support of corporate growth and our clients’ public sector business.
- Marshalls resources towards developing and delivering winning solicitation responses
- Drives proposal activities and teams through full pursuit lifecycle.
- Assist in managing and directing all proposal efforts and personnel
- Build and update Gate reviews and proposal directives for mid-level and high-level opportunity priorities (Go-No Go) and presents recommendations to the CEO.
- Develops and manages proposal schedules and outlines.
- Directs RFQ proposal writing, compiling, and editing with input from stakeholders.
- Schedules and supports color team reviews in coordination with Proposal Manager
- Leads pre-solicitation responses (Sources Sought, RFI)
- Coordinates teaming efforts and agreements
- Manages data calls and proposal team communications.
- Leads the development of an integrated offering and works to ensure win strategies and compliant offerings are reflected in submitted proposal.
- Assists in the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans, both short and long range, for the pursuit and successful capture of key opportunities and collection of opportunities.
- Applies disciplined methods to capture current understanding of critical customers’ program goals, assessment of competitive market, and translation of winning strategy to development of proposed offering.
- Develops and assists in execution of customer contact plans related to the capture pursuit.
- Sets, communicates, and gains approval for bid teaming strategy and facilitates negotiation and documentation of teaming agreements.
- Contribute as a strategic thought leader, discussion- and decision-driver through the capture process developing and presenting capture plan activities and results to internal executive leadership team.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in federal contracting.
- Proven expertise in proposal writing and management with a track record of winning competitive contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of government acquisition processes and regulations, including FAR/DFARS.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring staff.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with government clients, contractors, and partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Proficiency with business development tools such as GovWin, SAM.gov, and other market research platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Annual Salary up to $160,000
