Meaningful Work From Day One:
In compliance with Brown-Forman standards, the Customer Marketing Specialist manages Customer, Channel, and portfolio promotional programs. Assists in the development of the National Accounts brand, portfolio, and coupon execution for key accounts. Supports the Senior Customer Marketing Manager in the development and execution of structural Point-Of-Sale (POS), program activation plans, ad hoc creative and National Account customer program presentations. Works closely with National Accounts Managers, brand teams, agencies, freelancers and trade partners to achieve objectives. Leads executional excellence by developing and delivering platform/program elements that deliver against key business imperatives and better meet the needs of our partners, retailers, and shoppers.
What You Can Expect
Adheres to critical dates for all National Account POS buy windows and manages setup and fulfillment process, including item setup, order collection, tolerance review, asset development and turnover, production, and shipment.
Partners with Customer Marketing team to deliver materials to support customer, trade and portfolio marketing programs.
Manages agencies & outside vendors in the proper development and execution of shopper/ consumer & account specific promotional materials.
Manages internal process for development and approval of shopper/ consumer & account specific promotional materials, including adherence to legal & compliance requirements, brand guidelines, and customer specifications.
Collaborates with national accounts, commercial and brand teams to translate marketing objectives into functional brand building and shopper/ consumer engagement strategies and tactics (annual planning process and on-going) at channel, & account specific levels.
Clearly communicates project timelines with Customer Marketing team and provides sufficient lead-time to allow teams to plan for development of appropriate tools to support all programs and ensure materials are developed and shipped to the field in a timely manner.
Assists in monitoring & evaluating promotion needs and opportunities through historical data, market visits, soliciting field team feedback, & competitive appraisals.
Collaborates with Customer Marketing team to ensure strategic alignment on promotions and knowledge sharing of channel expertise.
Leads development of printed coupon and digital coupon execution for key accounts - including submitting to Coupon Center of Excellence, overseeing creative development, and confirming adherence to all legal, customer, and brand standard requirements.
In partnership with Senior Customer Marketing Managers, Spend Management, Finance and Accounting teams, supports general budgeting oversight needs, including monitoring POs, processing and approving invoices and troubleshooting queries, tracking and reconciling budgets and providing reports as requested
What You Bring to the Table
Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Marketing, Business Administration
Experience: 2 years of related work experience within the beverage or CPG industry.
Knowledge of marketing/advertising techniques and the ability to monitor and maintain the processes related to the development of integrated marketing/ shopper marketing materials.
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects within specified deadlines in a fast paced environment and maintain confidentiality of information.
Team Player: Able to put the needs of the overall Brown-Forman business above the specific needs of the channel or chain. Seeks opportunities to collaborate with leaders in other channels and accounts.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Resourceful: Understands how to get things done by leveraging resources from a wide range of sources.
Demonstrated ability to work within budget parameters.
In-store Merchandising Experience
Exceptional computer skills in Google Suite.
