What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Intern, Instrument Reliability (P-4472) position at 10x Genomics, Inc.?
We are seeking a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Intern to join the Manufacturing Systems Engineering department for the Summer of 2025. The Manufacturing Systems Engineering group designs and implements equipment for the production of instruments and consumables here at the 10x manufacturing facility.
This 10-12 week internship offers an opportunity to learn how to design and build test fixtures that exercise product components to understand failure modes. The intern will also gain experience executing test methods and developing meaningful manufacturing specifications.
What you will be doing :
- Design test fixtures and equipment
- Fabricate test fixtures and use analytical equipment to measure component performance
- Work with R&D and manufacturing engineering to understand product and process specifications
- Work with vendors and supply chain to review performance and reliability data
- Work with quality assurance to develop robust test methods and specifications
Minimum Requirements :
The hourly pay range for the role is $33 - $40.
