Reports to: Accounting Manager
Workplace Type: Hybrid (3 office, 2 remote)
Location: Raleigh, NC
Target Compensation: $60k base plus bonus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Post Cash Receipts, investigate issues and communicate with clients regarding under and over payments as well as all methods of payment
- Handle client refunds for overpayments
- Accept and process credit card payments from clients
- Assist with year-end collections
- Create automated receivable reports
- Generate ledger histories
- Produce 1099s for Vendors both in AP & Trust on annual basis
- Assist with technology for accounting department
- Evaluate new products offered by banks
- Set up any electronic processing with banks and vendors
- Research accounting issues and implement any new standards
- Perform special projects for Controller or Accounting Manager
- Provide backup for: Conflicts, AP and Billing
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time
constraints.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all participants.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow the instruction effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
- Work can require more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the
position; may require irregular hours.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, printer, photocopiers, fax
machines.

Required Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting area. 0-2 years of experience in the
accounting area.
