This is an opportunity for a strong and confident, people oriented, and organized person who can recruit and develop teams of volunteers in order to develop a world-class nursery ministry experience. As part of the children’s ministry team, measurable success of this position is the ability to develop a safe and loving environment where all parents feel completely at ease to leave their child, while they fully participate in a worship service. The nursery coordinator will help create and sustain an environment where kids, parents and volunteers can grow in faith and connect relationally. This is a part-time role.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Ministry Programming

- Ensure that children experience a fun, attractive, and relational ministry environment where they are taught faithfully and known personally.
- Environments are attractive and welcoming to parents and children.
- Must follow all policies and procedures for the ministry in order to ensure the highest possible standards for safety, security, and sanitation.
- All materials are gathered, prepared and tested in advance of weekend services.
- Parents experience excellent service and communication and are provided with opportunities to be involved in the spiritual development of their children, such as baby dedication.
- Implements curriculum and materials as provided by campus services.
- Maintains open communication with campuses services providing weekly feedback on the effectiveness of children’s programming.
Lead Volunteer Teams

- All preschool and nursery environments are fully staffed with effective and engaging volunteers.
- New volunteers must be identified, assimilated, and developed to allow for growth and expansion.
- Ensure volunteers experience a high level of care and community with other volunteers.
- Volunteers receive coaching and training that equips them to excel in their ministry role.
- Manages volunteer teams in Ministry Platform and Planning Center.
- Develop and oversee weekly prep team of volunteers to assure the facility, supplies and equipment are clean, prepared and in proper working order for worship services.
- Volunteer leaders are identified, raised up and equipped to care for and develop other volunteers.
- The volunteer leadership team will meet regularly with the early childhood coordinator to evaluate and develop ways to improve upon the ministry.
Qualifications
Spiritual Criteria:
- Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Commitment to personal spiritual growth.
- Models standards and expectations of leaders within 12Stone Church.
- Must attend 12Stone Church.
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in children’s ministry leadership, education, or corporate experience you know would transfer well into the church world.
- Organized and pays attention to detail.
- Highly relational and works well with others.
- Exemplary oral & written skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
