What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at 14th Judicial District Attorney's Office?
We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our prosecuting attorneys, assisting in daily office needs and supporting our company’s general administrative activities. Some of the Administrative Assistant responsibilities include answering the phone, preparing discovery materials on criminal cases and data entry of cases. The ideal candidate should have excellent team playing skills, oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work with understanding prioritization. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office while being a positive, self motivated team player.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Help identify what callers are looking for and direct them appropriately
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Assist in the preparation of case discovery and disperse appropriately
- New Data entry and data maintenance into an electronic formatted filing system
- Order office supplies
- Provide general support to customers
- Act as the point of contact for initial office contact
Skills
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Adhere to absolute confidentiality
- High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
