Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee our office operations and ensure the efficient functioning of our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, including experience with public accounting and general ledger accounting and construction accounting to include job costing. You will play a crucial role in managing financial records, coordinating administrative tasks, and supporting the overall productivity of the office.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and effective communication among team members.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting principles.
- Utilize QBO to manage financial transactions and generate reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial concepts and tax regulations relevant to the organization.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Support budgeting processes by providing necessary data and analysis.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
- Train and supervise administrative staff, fostering a productive work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles, debits, credits, and journal entries.
- Familiarity with financial concepts and tax regulations is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
