Job Title: Human Resources Generalist – Manufacturing Plant Location: King of Prussia, PA Department: Human Resources Reports To: HR Manager Position Summary: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting all day-to-day HR functions within the manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws, while fostering a productive and engaged workforce. This role serves as an on-site resource for employees and managers, handling a wide range of responsibilities including employee relations, staffing, performance management, HR compliance, and training coordination. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in promoting a positive and safe workplace culture aligned with company values and operational goals. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations & Engagement Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and front-line leaders, promoting an approachable and solution-focused HR presence on the production floor. Proactively address workplace concerns to resolve issues. Support a positive work environment through employee recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and culture-building activities. Coach supervisors and managers on employee communication, conflict resolution, and performance conversations. Staffing & Onboarding Coordinate hourly and salaried recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and offer letters. Facilitate pre-employment processes (background checks, drug screens, physicals, etc.). Lead onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure an engaging and compliant start to employment. HR Operations & Compliance Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system (e.g., Workday), including status changes, documentation, and certifications. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO). Administer corrective action documentation in partnership with supervisors, ensuring consistency. Support timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll inputs to ensure accurate processing. Performance & Development Assist in administering the annual performance review process and support calibration discussions. Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans and monitor progress. Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities for employees and supervisors. Safety Partner with EHS and plant leadership to support safety culture, track incident reports, and assist with safety-related training. Manage workers’ compensation documentation and return-to-work coordination in collaboration with Safety. Projects & Continuous Improvement Assist in the rollout of HR initiatives, employee surveys, and action plans tied to engagement and retention. Support compliance audits and internal reviews as needed. Contribute to HR process improvements and cross-functional projects at the site or regional level. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong working knowledge of HR laws, best practices, and compliance standards. Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG); Workday experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Comfortable spending time on the production floor and engaging with employees across all shifts. Work Environment: Full-time, on-site position based in a manufacturing facility.
