Field Superintendent

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee and manage asphalt and related civil construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are built according to specifications, on time, and within budget. Experience with Asphalt, Utility, and Site Development projects is a plus. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction processes, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and laborers to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any issues that arise during construction.
• Review blueprints and project specifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety regulations, and ensure proper use of materials and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules using Primavera or similar project scheduling software.
• Assist in the preparation of construction estimates and budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting of costs.
• Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project status, changes, and any potential challenges.

Skills

• Proven experience in supervising construction projects with a strong understanding of civil construction processes.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with construction estimating techniques.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling.
• Ability to effectively manage contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving results while maintaining safety standards.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders in the pipeline construction industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00 - $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
