Job description
Our Client has an immediate temp to hire Technical Design opportunity to join their team.
The Technical Designer will be responsible for owning all aspects of Technical Design for Sweater categories. They will lead fittings, identify fit issues, propose solutions/corrections and be well-versed in grading and all POMs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead fittings, identify fit issues, propose solutions/corrections
- Be well-versed in grading , manage jr tech designer
- Create Technical Drawings and Specifications:
– Develop detailed technical drawings, including flat sketches, garment construction, and measurement specifications.
– Generate accurate and comprehensive tech packs for manufacturing purposes.
– Conduct size grading to ensure consistency across different sizes while maintaining design integrity
- Conduct fit sessions and collaborate with sample makers to achieve desired fit and silhouette.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a Technical Designer in the apparel industry with Knits
- understanding of garment construction, fit, & production processes
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration
- Detail-oriented mindset committed to maintaining high-quality standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
