Position Overview: The Wholesale Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the wholesale channel, driving sales growth, and building strong relationships with retail partners, distributors, and buyers. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and an in-depth understanding of the luxury fashion market. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a passion for luxury fashion and a proven ability to expand and manage wholesale networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wholesale Strategy & Sales: Develop and implement wholesale strategies to achieve revenue goals, increase market share, and expand the brand’s presence in key markets. Collaborate with the senior management team to align wholesale strategies with the overall brand objectives.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key wholesale partners, including retailers, distributors, and international buyers. Ensure exceptional service and communication, strengthening partnerships and driving mutual success. These accounts include luxury department stores and specialty accounts.
- Sales Performance & Targets: Monitor and analyze wholesale sales data, track performance against targets, and identify areas for improvement. Work with the team to implement initiatives to meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs.
- Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities in untapped markets, including international expansion and emerging markets. Actively seek and establish relationships with potential new wholesale partners to grow the brand’s global footprint.
- Pricing & Order Management: Oversee the management of pricing structures, order processes, and inventory allocations. Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations with wholesale partners to establish favorable terms, pricing, and agreements that align with the brand’s values and profitability goals.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences. Provide feedback and insights to the product and marketing teams to influence product offerings and promotional strategies.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on wholesale sales, market performance, and trends. Provide actionable insights to senior leadership on opportunities for growth and areas requiring attention.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (4 years) in wholesale or business development, with at least 2 years within the luxury fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of the wholesale distribution network, retail partnerships, and the luxury market landscape.
- Experience working with Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales, Bergdorfs and more
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics.
- Ability to travel as needed for market visits and partner meetings.
- A passion for fashion and a deep understanding of the luxury market and consumer behavior.
Salary : $95,000 - $100,000
