Job Description: Position Summary We are seeking an exceptional Analyst Intern to join our Sales and Trading team in Chicago. The Analyst intern will join our highly collaborative team responsible for providing distribution, content, and analytics to institutional investor clients with a strong emphasis on fixed income structured products. The team focuses on esoteric segments of the market including aviation, franchise, bank debt, and digital infrastructure asset backed securities. Guggenheim offers an opportunity to work alongside a Chicago-based team on projects providing meaningful exposure to senior traders and sales personnel. Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an unstructured environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued. Our 10-week internship program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in finance with an emphasis on capital markets and fixed income structured products. The program includes training, mentoring, networking, and various projects that provide our intern with a unique experience and invaluable look into our culture and the capital markets business. You will have significant exposure to senior team members as well as the ability to create meaningful relationships with junior personnel. We will provide capital markets training as you develop your professional toolkit: business acumen, financial analysis, data analysis, soft-selling and presentation skills, professional communication, negotiations, and more. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with exceptional quantitative and communication skills looking to jump-start their career through hands-on training and experience at a growing firm. Essential Job Functions Support sales and trading team in developing and maintaining sector reports Perform financial and valuation analysis such as discounted cash flow analysis and other fixed income analytics Perform deal and industry research and gain in-depth understanding of sector trends, transaction performance, and relative value to help develop innovative and creative solutions for our clients Prepare sector reports and presentations on various asset classes Develop an in depth understanding of the fixed income capital markets distribution and execution process Preferred Qualifications Effective communicator – verbal, written and virtual Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Strong interest in problem solving and client services Resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in finance Desire to join a growing, entrepreneurial platform Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Significant level of maturity and the ability to work under pressure as a part of a small team Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to multitask and work with limited supervision on a team Basic Qualifications Must be on track to receive a Bachelor’s degree in 2026 or 2025 Salary $20 per hour About Us: Guggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm.
