Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Tallahassee, FL(From Day one onsite)
Duration: Long Term
Description:
- Extensive experience in the State of Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) with usage and transactions, ledger management, and financial reporting;
- Proven knowledge of the State of Florida chart of accounts (i.e., usage, correlation);
- Advanced knowledge of financial accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
- Proven ability analyzing and reconciling FLAIR accounting data, including but not limited to analyzing and reconciling data between different sources of information at any of the 29-digit account code stream levels and general ledger balances;
- Ability to quickly analyze large sets of complex accounting data using different technical skills and tools for identification of data inconsistencies;
A bachelor s or master s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, or other related field, with 10 years of State of Florida governmental accounting work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, when applicable.
- Extensive experience resolving data inconsistences, investigating the cause, and proposing corrective actions;
- Ability to create tools for effective and accurate correction of inconsistencies; and
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines
