Job Summary: Under limited supervision, performs quality control tasks using the latest developments in inspection and statistical techniques to assess and ensure product compliance with our customers' requirements. Define internal and external problems and resolve them through a systematic methodology that identifies root causes, implements countermeasures, and verifies results.
Responsibilities:
- Solve problems related to quality, including establishing the necessary process controls. Interpret drawings.
- Support the implementation of containment actions to prevent process leaks.
- Perform internal/product and process audits. Control Plan audits and improvements
- Perform mechanical visual inspections (MVI), as assigned to the unit.
- Create and maintain quality work instructions, visual aids, and control plans.
- Evaluation of Drawings for evaluation of Engineering standards and critical dimensions.
- Update and audit the Control Plans of the workstations.
- Perform data analysis: non-conforming material, Warranty, Escapes and others.
- Support lean initiatives and Problem Solving (5s, RIE's, SQDIP, MDI, 9 step).
- Support of non-compliant material system, segregate and dispose of the material as required.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures as per BOS and engineering standards.
- Carry out Process Audits, including but not constrained to verifies that the equipment that requires calibration has the current calibration
- Systems usage to support CTO clearing reject, evaluating /inspecting the rework completion.
- Comply with company policies and procedures including those related to EHS & Engineering Standards.
- Execute other tasks and projects, as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Equivalent Work Experience or Current Degree Enrollment Acceptable
Key Competencies:
- Must be detail oriented to ensure all quality requirements are met.
- Use of Plant internal corrective action systems
- Use of Plant work order system.
- Experience with MS Office products required, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Outlook. Must pass computer proficiency test within 60 days.
- Ability to learn computer software applications.
- Must be a high-energy self-starter, results-oriented proactive and able to work effectively with little supervision.
- Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to effectively build relationships with employees at all levels.
- Must be willing to work flexible work hours/OT as needed
