JOB SUMMARY
The Post Closing Specialist III will be responsible for reviewing and verifying closed mortgage loans as required by major regulatory bodies. This role is key in ensuring the investment quality of each loan based on completeness and accuracy of the file.

- Salary Base - $50,000-$60,000
- Monthly Variable Bonuses
JOB FUNCTIONS

File Auditor
- Audits closed loan files for quality and compliance, following investor delivery requirements and deadlines.
Works with appropriate parties for corrections needed.
Completes internal audit checklist, logging errors in the internal condition reporting system.
Prepares delivery package within three days of receiving.
Prepares closed loans for sale to investors or Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs).

Communication
Serves as point of contact for inquiries from potential audits by third parties.
Effectively communicates with borrower, servicers, stakeholders, department heads and other counterparties regarding general and advanced post-closing matters while providing strong service/support.
Escalates unresolved issues to management.
Transmits loan information and purchase documents to third parties.

Subject Matter Expert
Oversees short and long-term escrow holdback procedures working with branch, underwriter, builder partner, and Accounting to ensure accuracy and completion.
Maintains working knowledge of secondary and investor guidelines and websites.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Years of Related Experience: 3 years mortgage experience; 1 year auditing/delivery experience.

Proven ability to work independently; be self-directed and drive to accomplish personal/team goals.
Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment, strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills; Internet; Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel.
Virtual Communications: Microsoft Teams, Zoom.
Open/Close Loan Operating System or similar, Doc Magic or similar.
Familiarity with investor websites preferred but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with solid computer skills.
