Position OverviewThe Vice President of Engineering, FinTech, will drive the design, development, and execution of Cast & Crew’s cutting-edge Accounting and FinTech solutions. This leadership role is pivotal in understanding the unique production accounting needs of the Media and Entertainment industry and spearheading the modernization of existing systems while innovating new solutions to empower customers and drive success.
We are seeking a visionary and experienced executive to elevate the engineering organization, define a technical strategy that ensures scalability and innovation, and partner with Product Management to craft and deliver a transformative vision for Cast & Crew’s FinTech solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Product Partnership: Collaborate closely with Product Management to design and develop best-in-class Accounting and FinTech solutions, including payment rails, automated accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), and vendor payment systems tailored for the Media and Entertainment sector.
- Architectural Transformation: Lead the engineering organization through a critical transformation phase, consolidating legacy products while modernizing the platform’s architecture to enable scalability, flexibility, and sustained growth.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously enhance platform performance, reliability, and cost efficiency through robust engineering and operational practices.
- Team Building: Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Technology Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation in FinTech and accounting solutions.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all software products meet rigorous security standards and comply with relevant regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate technical progress, risks, and challenges to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Collaboration & Accountability: Cultivate a collaborative and accountable engineering environment, promoting seamless communication across teams and cross-functional departments.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in building and delivering modern FinTech solutions with a strong focus on payment processing, automated accounts payable/receivable, and vendor payment systems.
- Experience in technology modernization of legacy desktop solutions into modern event driven and service-oriented architecture.
- Strong track record of leading cloud migration initiatives, leveraging AWS to achieve scalability and operational efficiency.
- Experience in post-acquisition integration and unification of software solutions with various technology stacks.
- Executive level experience designing and leading large scale Engineering organizations.
- Experience working closely with product management, design, operations, and various engineering functions.
- Ability to represent and promote complex business or technical architectural concepts both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated history of building strong cross functional relationships that foster deep engagements.
- Master’s degree is preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Special Work Conditions
- Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
