410 Medical, based in Research Triangle Park, NC, is focused on developing innovative technologies to improve resuscitation of critically ill patients. 410’s lead product, LifeFlow PLUS, is a handheld portable infuser designed to enable clinicians to more effectively and efficiently deliver fluid and blood products to patients in urgent need of rapid resuscitation.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our
medical device sales team in identifying and analyzing the growing market for whole blood usage in EMS and pre-hospital settings. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic market research that enables our mission to help save lives of critically ill patients with innovative tools that assist health care providers in improving resuscitation.
Duration: Early May, 2025 - August 2025, 20-30 hours per week
Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive research to identify EMS agencies, air medical services, and other pre-hospital providers currently using or implementing whole blood programs across the US

Develop and maintain a structured database of identified organizations, including key contacts, program details, and implementation timelines

Create geographic visualizations and heat maps highlighting regional adoption patterns and potential sales territories

Analyze collected data to identify market trends, barriers to adoption, and opportunities for market entry

Prepare research summaries and presentations for the sales leadership team

Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies based on research findings
Requirements:

Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Emergency Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Data Analytics, or related field

Strong research and data collection skills

Experience with database management and data visualization tools

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required

Experience with GIS or mapping software preferred but not required

Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with team members

Interest in or familiarity with Salesforce CRM tool
