Meaningful Work From Day One:

  • Oversee sales and trade marketing activities by developing and implementing promotional strategies. These strategies should effectively utilize key channel tactics, stimulate consumer demand, enhance customer relationships, and generate profit within the region.

  • Responsible for overseeing depletion, stock management, promotional, and merchandising initiatives for Brown-Forman’s Global Travel Retail (GTR) business in the Latin America Region (LAR), managing Airport current customers, and exploring regional opportunities within the cruise & airline channels.

  • Key tasks will include working to encompass the development of Brown-Forman brands with Dufry South America, Lagardere Peru, and IOS, aligning with our brand-building philosophy and global brand strategies.

  • The role will work on building long-term partnerships with regional stakeholders by managing customer negotiations, securing profitable listings, increasing market share, optimizing brand exposure, coordinating promotional activities, and solving regional supply chain issues within the region.

  • The role will collaborate with Global Travel Retail and Americas management teams to evaluate market conditions, develop marketing strategies, implement sales plans and advocacy programs, and recommend changes to provide optimal long-term financial return and consumer franchise building for Brown-Forman brands.

What You Can Expect:

Basic Functions: Sales and Commercial Support

  • Create, execute, and deliver agreed P&L objectives.

  • Manage Travel-Retail customers encompassing approximately 22 South America locations to successfully implement and execute sales and brand plans.

  • Build dynamic and meaningful relationships with regional decision-makers and achieve an excellent partnership.

  • Manage the Brown-Forman Brand Ambassadors across the Accounts (8 Brand Ambassadors—3 Sao Paulo, 3 Argentina, 1 Chile, 1 Colombia), establishing KPIs, measuring sales goals, and ensuring in-store prime visibility.

  • Develop Brown-Forman business through the effective account management of assigned retailers and customers across the area, interacting with customers’ purchasing, marketing, merchandising, store managers, supply chain, and customer service teams.

  • Evaluate market conditions, competition activities, and macro-outlook and make informed recommendations for long and short-term business planning.

  • Proactively identify profitable growth opportunities for the Brown-Forman spirits portfolio through merchandising and promotional activities, additional store activities, training, incentive & advocacy programs, distillery trips, etc.

  • Collaborate with Global Travel Retail customer marketing and brand teams to execute agreed-upon brand plans and budgets and achieve regional goals.

  • Seek regional opportunities with cruise and airline channel customers and ensure alignment and execution of Brown-Forman’s Global Cruise and Airline Strategy. Align and execute Brown-Forman’s Global Cruise & Airline Strategy by seeking regional opportunities with cruise and airline channel customers.

  • Offer local support to airports in the region, with a primary focus on Sao Paulo, Rio, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Panama, and Punta Cana. This should include promotional implementation, local store management relationships, and maintenance of permanent merchandising units.


Basic Functions - Trade Marketing, Promotional Planning and Execution

  • Develop strong working relationships with relevant customer contacts to secure optimal retail brand exposure and dominate at purchase, proactively explore brand-building opportunities through permanent merchandising and promotional activities.

  • Support the preparation of annual Brand Plans for LAR GTR (airports, cruises, and airlines) and assist in measuring the results of all initiatives.

  • Implementing Digital Campaigns for the South America Region with the support of GTR and LE IMC Managers.

  • Conduct and share research regarding the region's GTR shoppers and retail customers.

  • Lead PICOS implementation within the region and propose Action Plans to maintain Brown-Forman with the best-in-class exposure.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related area.

  • Experience: Minimum five years of national/key account experience in an FMCG selling environment.

  • Proven P&L management experience and negotiation skills.

  • High proficiency using Excel and ability to build influential presentations and communicate fluently.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Spanish & Portuguese.

  • Financial skills with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Ready to be part of a small team, must be hands-on and flexible.

  • Must be willing to travel extensively (approximately 30% of the time).

  • Analytical Ability: The ability to allocate sufficient time and effort to analyze opportunities and resolve problems. The ability to develop alternative courses of action and commit to actions based on factual information, providing the rationale for recommendations, and weighing and Prioritizing data. The ability to identify problems, analyze relevant data, think critically, generate alternatives, and select solutions to problems.
