The Opportunity: 

When our country’s cybersecurity is on the line, simply reacting is not enough—we need a plan. And when that plan needs to support the Department of Defense’s secure communications, we need strategic policy analysis. That’s why we need you, a strategic planning and policy specialist with the expertise required to guide a team analyzing the policies that determine our cyber resilience.

As a cyber strategic planning and policy analysis consultant on our team, you’ll oversee staff working on the assessment of the Department of Defense's current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks. You’ll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. As you guide your client through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you’ll lead the team in the development of a strategic cyber roadmap. You’ll work with the client to ensure they operate securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment.

You Have:

• Experience supporting and interacting with senior executives and senior military leadership

• Experience at the senior leadership level or with a military Command

• Knowledge of cybersecurity

• Knowledge of encryption technologies

• Ability to communicate to senior executives and military senior officers

• Ability to keep and maintain Master schedules

• Ability to assess and brief technical programming

• TS/SCI clearance

• Master’s degree in a cybersecurity or technology field and 12 years of experience working with cybersecurity, Bachelor's in a cybersecurity or technology field and 16 years of experience working with cybersecurity, or 18 years of experience working with cybersecurity in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Knowledge of cryptography modernization

• Ability to develop clear and concise written, verbal, and visual presentations

• CISSP Certification or higher

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
