Job Summary:
6PM Hospitality is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support our Corporate Director of Finance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for accuracy. The Accounting Assistant will assist with various financial tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and expense reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
- Support payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
- Help with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Perform data entry and maintain organized financial documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is a plus.
- Prior experience in hospitality is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with M3 software is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time position (approximately 20-30 hours per week).
- Flexible scheduling available within standard business hours.
