Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medical office procedures, ensuring that all documentation is handled accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate collection of information.
- Maintain medical records, including filing, updating, and retrieving documents as needed.
- Insurance verification and breakdown
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and medical coding.
- Utilize Epic software for managing patient information and electronic health records.
- Assist with the preparation of medical charts and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a Dental office is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of care plans and medical records management is advantageous.
