Construction Field Supervisors are expected to:
- Work with in-house designers to install landscapes by leading and instructing teams to produce excellent and profitable products.
- Manage all aspects of the project to include hardscape, softscape, lighting, irrigation, subcontractors and vendor communication.
- Teaching and training team members to ensure proper procedures, processes and quality of work are followed and achieved.
- Directing, overseeing and participating in work performed by your team. This is a very hands-on position and requires candidates to perform any task they would ask their team to do. You will be expected to work alongside the team.
- Assisting with and creating production and project schedule deadlines.
- Maintaining and caring for company equipment, tools and vehicles.
- Forecasting equipment, labor and material needs to ensure efficient production.
- Creating daily schedules for the crews which includes some weekend work, rain days
- Processing work orders/receipts
- Organizing & implementing safety training/protocol while promoting job-site safety
- Review, approve and close work tickets in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly job site, including the office and yard.
- Using time tracking software to approve crew hours
- Attending training classes and seminars as determined necessary.
Experienced required:
- 5 years landscape construction experience preferred, 3 years minimum.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMVR.
- Valid hoisting license preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills.
- Must be professional in appearance and actions.
- Must be detail oriented and quality driven.
- Must be well organized with strong communication skills (Written and verbal) and ability to multitask.
- Must have the ability to be proactive, plan ahead and problem solve to minimize disruption, errors, risks and keep work-flow on-task, within budget and on-time.
- Absolute essential ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Fluent English is required, fluent Spanish is a plus.
