Landscape Construction Foreman
Greener Group LLC is searching for a full time year round leader who excels in operations and efficiencies to be an integral part of our Landscape Construction Division. This role is a “hands on”, working role with oversight responsibilities. This position reports to the Division Manager of Landscape Construction ( lawns, plantings).
Some position responsibilities:
- Daily set up and oversight of multiple crews in an efficient, effective manner.
- Communicate division standards on a daily basis.
- Monitor and supervise teams.
- Compliment and correct others as needed.
- Teach and motivate Crew Leads to strategize in order to accomplish jobs within budgeted hours.
- Teach Crew Leads and Crew Members the different tasks of Landscape Construction. Ensure their knowledge and understanding.
- Develop Crew Leads and Crew Members; hold yourself and them accountable.
- Establish and maintain outstanding quality.
- Fill in as a Crew Lead when Crew Leads are not at work.
- Develop positive working relationships with customers and all staff throughout Greener Group LLC .
- Ensure equipment is maintained and repaired as needed.
- Champion a safety first and teamwork culture.
- Identify additional opportunities for clients for site improvement.
- Responsible for outcomes and results.
Needed knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of and prior experience in landscape construction and in leadership.
- Attention to detail and big picture; coordination ability, site inspection, recordkeeping.
- Teaching, motivating, developing and directing people; identifying the best people for the job.
- Accountability; monitoring and assessing the performance of others and yourself in order to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Proven effective, efficient and professional verbal and written communication and active listening skills.
- Level headedness.
- True multi-tasking and recall skills.
- Scheduling and coordinating work activities of others.
- Professional appearance with the understanding that you will get dirty during the day.
- Willingness and demonstrated ability to work with and alongside crews.
- Proven ability to operate landscape construction equipment, tools, and vehicles.
- Ability to learn new software such as timekeeping software.
- Some knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Valid driver license with a respectable driving record.
- Ability to secure and maintain a DOT medical certificate.
- Ability to work needed hours during the season heights in order to accomplish business goals.

We are located at 123 Bolt Street in Lowell, Massachusetts, housed in a state-of-the-art 33,000 square foot facility on four acres. Our headquarters has 6,000 square feet of office space, a warehouse, inventory control center, full-time vehicle and equipment service and repair, a gas and diesel station, and a nursery/bulk materials center.
Our office is staffed with estimators, project managers, accounting, costing, a business development team and Human Resources.
