Job Summary
The Manufacturing Facility Trainer provides on-the-job training support for newly onboarded employees and newly implemented manufacturing procedures and techniques.
Develops and maintains curriculum and learning plans to support the production workflow from inventory to shipment. The Manufacturing Facility Trainer ensures consistent compliance with policies and procedures, health and safety processes, and evaluates and communicates barriers impacting training efforts on the production floor.
Essential Job Functions
- Supports and assists the production management team in designing and dispensing training programs and schedules, including recertifications, evaluation of qualifications for promotion, certifications, and auditing activities.
- Create production training content and programs, maintains training logs, and delivers appropriate training sessions to facilitate compliance and meet facility goals and standards.
- Provides performance feedback to assist production management with training initiatives, goals, and commitments to satisfy the production workflow.
- Collaborate with corporate learning to schedule and deliver core training requirements and practice processes to support knowledge transfer and ensure corporate compliance.
- Assist employees with creating profiles and navigating in the learning management system for training module completion and as required per job responsibility.
- Manage LMS reports to provide insights into compliance metrics, assess training effectiveness, or to develop needed trainings to support production and identify areas of improvement.
- Support new hire training logistics to ensure an effective onboarding process and support staff knowledge capability.
- Evaluate production areas to ensure manufacturing instructions are current, develop needed training instructions, and collaborate with applicable front office staff to ensure consistent, timely revisions, as necessary.
- Support production areas to evaluate training requirements, provide progress updates, and support employee performance and skill evaluation.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure training plans are aligned with corporate learning requirements and are updated according to job functions and company policies.
- Assist production operations with updates and legislative changes in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement by recommending appropriate trainings, performance management techniques, conducting seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions, and communicating training needs and online resources, and any other programs applicable to enhance the production learning experience.
- Ensure employees adhere to safety protocols and expectations and report health and safety exceptions to appropriate management for resolution.
- Conduct employee surveys and consult with corporate learning conceptualize training materials based on data and research, develop and prepare job aids, training manuals, charts, visual aids, and other training materials, and implement improved training initiatives and methods based on learner feedback and best practices.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Management is required.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Education, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Management is preferred.
- Strong, demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations and engineering.
- 3 years of experience working in a highly specialized manufacturing environment is required
- 2 years of experience in training manufacturing staff is required

- Knowledge of production processes and EPA and OSHA regulations and understanding of safety systems and communication of safety rules, regulations, and policies
- Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Products, SharePoint and training software programs

Physical Demands : Physical strength to lift 50 pounds, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
