Peoplelink Group is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Billing Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of billing, accounts receivable, collections, and reporting. Compensation: $65k-$85k
Schedule: Hybrid, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, 3 days in office and 2 days remote
How You’ll Do It
This includes managing the timely and accurate processing of invoices, ensuring collections are handled effectively, and maintaining a streamlined accounts receivable process. The Billing Manager will provide detailed financial reports and key performance metrics to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee and ensure accurate and timely billing for all customers while coordinating with internal teams to address billing discrepancies or issues.
- Lead and mentor a team of billing and collections professionals.
- Develop and implement billing procedures, processes, and controls.
- Manage the accounts receivable process and team ensuring accurate entry and maintenance of customer account information.
- Supervise team members responsible for applying payments, maintaining records, and resolving discrepancies.
- Lead efforts to minimize overdue receivables, working closely with the collections team to follow up on outstanding balances.
- Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment terms with customers when necessary.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department, including days sales outstanding (DSO), aging analysis, and cash collection rates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and tax requirements related to billing and accounts receivable.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
What You’ll Bring
This is an experienced hire role, and you’ll need to bring 2-5 years of experience in leading a Billing/Accounts Receivable team. Here’s what else we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, and collections management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and billing best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bullhorn or GP Dynamics is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to produce accurate financial reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Background in customer service and assisting direct and indirect customers.
