The Role
Our Sales Team is the face of A Pup Above. We make sure that every meal we sell meets a happy pupstomer. We’re a dedicated team. And it’s easy to be dedicated when you’re part of something much bigger than yourself. We’ve got an insatiable appetite for changing dog food for good. We do this with an education lead sales model that prioritizes delivering exceptional customer service and product to our independent pet partners and their customers.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for building retailer and store associate relationships and recommendations through frequent store visits and calls. The TSM position is responsible for opening new accounts and growing sales in existing accounts in the assigned territory. The TSM will own the execution of sales, merchandising and education programs designed to increase sales, profits and market share in the assigned territory.
Note : This role will require working on the weekends, overnights, and evenings at times, as well as travel 50-75% of the time. You must have a valid driver’s license to be considered. This position will cover Northern California, Utah and Nevada . In order to qualify for this role, you must live in Northern California.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with prospective customers to introduce them to A Pup Above products
- Regularly visit and phone prospective and existing customers for ongoing sales and support
- Ensure A Pup Above product sets are merchandised to retailer schematics and brand guidelines to increase sales, profits and market share in assigned region
- Provide in-person and remote training to retailers to help educate them on the features and benefits of the products
- Develop, maintain and execute on territory sales target list
- Collaborate with APA distributors and their sales reps to service accounts and grow sales in the region
- Participate in trade shows and in-store events
- Resolve retailer issues and complaints in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all customer contacts, store visits, communication, training and events in company CRM
