We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to manage our purchasing activities and vendor relationships. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies essential for our garage door service and installation operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of supply chain management, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This is a full time remote position that requires weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company’s operational goals.
Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents.
Resolve supplier disputes and address quality issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance.
Collaborate with the production and operations teams to ensure the availability of required materials without overstocking.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with the garage door or residential construction industry is a plus.
