Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Human Resources Generalist will support the day to day people operations. This includes talent acquisition, coordinating and processing: new hire documents, payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, records retention, and enforcing company policies and practices through their collaboration with department leaders throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality, high ethical standard and excellent judgement required when dealing with private, personal and confidential information
- Must be able to proactively recognize problems/opportunities and independently develop and execute rapid solution/plans while collaborating with others
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and verbal communication skills
- Must be bilingual, English and Spanish
- Ability to understand and comply with Federal and State Employment Laws
- Must have experience administering payroll and ability to convert from one system to another
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
- Three to five years experience in Human Resources which includes working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, and administration of the employee life cycle experience
- Active educational and/or degree track in Human Resources or similar career path
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook(scheduling and email), Word (drafting letters, editing documents), Excel(sorting information, templates, formatting, basic formulas)
Responsibilities
- HR Generalist will work a part time schedule of 25 hours per week
- Benefits program management; Wellness Programs, FMLA, Workers Compensation , 401k and payroll-related activities
- Act as an HR Advisor and witness to Executive and upper management on all matters related to HR
- Organize and distribute new employee forms and paperwork for all new hires and terminations as well as conduct new employee orientations ensuring that all compliance requirements are met and all internal process and system requirements are met for new employees
- Develop and execute strategy for employee training including, but not limited to new employee on-boarding, employee development and all safety, legal or compliance required training
- Contribute to employee culture by listening to employees, organizing events and being the "face of HR" within the office
- Identify and deliver timely and meaningful HR analytics and reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
