Position Summary:
Assists Fleet Operations Manager by directly supervising employees in accordance with the Club's policies and applicable laws. Position is responsible for oversight of the fleet technicians operating in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors dispatch and active truck data to determine the most efficient, productive, and safest utilization of all equipment.
- Ensures the efficient direction, assignment, control, and deployment of Fleet vehicles.
- Maintains good working relations with dispatch/call-receiving vendors to ensure consistent communication as a liaison between the vendors, fleet technicians, members, and management.
- Ensures that technicians are adhering to the approved system including but not limited to timely and accurate estimated times of arrival (ETA’s), timely and accurate status of assigned member service calls and appropriate movement from call to call.
- Coaches and maintains an assigned safety team, monitor employees’ work levels and reviews work performance.
- Ensures an appropriate level of member satisfaction and percentage of calls.
- Recommend or initiate personnel reviews, personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
- Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
- Examine equipment, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed alterations.
- Requisition materials and supplies as approved by management
- Participate in training programs for individuals and groups.
- Assists the HMC contractor network with training and support
- Establishes and maintains communication and professional demeanor with members, employees, and management including working as a team with individuals within and outside the department and sharing concerns/problems with management.
- Maintains a flexible calendar for scheduling purposes.
- Promotes AAA membership and benefits through knowledge of HMC programs.
- Supports Fleet Field Supervision.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Effort:
- Typically sitting at a desk or table
- Intermittently sitting, standing, and stopping
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED with preference toward any post-high school education.
Experience: Demonstrable experience with logistics, computer skills, and people skills.
