What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll / Accounts Payable Specialist position at AAA Moving & Storage, Inc.?
The Payroll/Accounts Payable Accounting specialists performs accounting and tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of payroll and accounts payable transactions. Payroll knowledge and experience is a must for this position. Minimum starting rate is $20/hr depending on experience.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Process weekly payroll for up to 170 employees.
- Review payables invoices, resolve invoice discrepancies, and enter into system for payment
- Sort and match invoices and check requests
- Prepare and process accounts payable checks and credit card transactions.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Reconcile statements
- Assist forwarders or Allied with questions regarding payables
- Assist Accounting Supervisor with other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of payroll principles and technicalities
- General knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Basic knowledge of accounting software
- Interpersonal communication
- Organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Proficiency in Excel
- Attention to detail
