What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contents Supervisor/Quality Control position at Aaction Home Repairs and Restoration, Inc.?
· Quality Standards: Establish and enforce quality control standards and guidelines for contents restoration projects to ensure that restored items meet or exceed client expectations.
· Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of team / contents to assess their condition and quality, making adjustments or corrections as necessary.
· Training: Provide training to contents restoration team members to ensure that they are following proper procedures and meeting quality standards.
2. Estimation and Cost Analysis:
· Project Estimation: Estimate the scope of work and costs associated with contents pack out, pack back, structure cleanings, restoration projects, taking into account materials, labor, and equipment within Xactimate.
· Budgeting: Collaborate with the Contents Manager to develop project budgets that optimize profitability while meeting quality requirements.
3. Supervision and Coordination:
· Team Oversight: Supervise contents restoration teams, including technicians and laborers, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
· Workflow Management: Develop and implement workflow processes that maximize productivity while minimizing costs.
· Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively, such as personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project profitability.
4. Client Communication:
· Client Expectations: Maintain open and clear communication with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any changes to the scope of work.
· Client Satisfaction: Ensure that client expectations for quality are met and, when possible, exceeded.
5. Profitability Analysis:
· Cost Control: Monitor project costs closely, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to control expenses.
· Profit Analysis: Analyze project profitability and make recommendations to contents manager to improve profitability margins.
6. Purchase Order Management
· Purchase Orders: Generate, review, and approve purchase orders for items needed for each project, ensuring that orders are accurate, cost-effective, and in compliance with budgetary constraints.
· Vendor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms, secure competitive pricing, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
· Cost Control: Monitor purchase order expenses closely to avoid unnecessary costs and budget overruns.
7. Documentation:
· Records Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of project estimates, quality control measures, and any issues or changes that arise during the project within DASH
· Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on project performance, profitability, and quality control metrics.
8. Continuous Improvement:
· Process Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs without compromising quality.
· Best Practices: Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure that the organization remains competitive and profitable.
9. Vehicle Inspections and Maintenance:
· Fleet Oversight: Oversee the organization's fleet of vehicles used in contents restoration projects, ensuring they are properly maintained and in safe working condition.
· Inspections: Establish a regular vehicle inspection schedule to assess the condition of each vehicle, including safety features, mechanical components, and cleanliness.
· Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, scheduling service appointments and ensuring that all necessary repairs are promptly addressed.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure that all vehicles are compliant with safety regulations and standards, such as inspections, emissions testing, and required safety equipment.
· Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools in vehicles to address minor repairs or issues during project assignments, minimizing downtime.
