Our client is a private equity firm. They seek a Senior Accounting Associate to join their Greenwich, CT office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting for corporate entities, from transaction initiation to reporting
- Review owned entities and present them to the senior finance management team
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations to underlying sub-ledgers and source systems
- Manage consolidation adjustments, allocated footnotes, and disclosures
- Assist with work papers for interim and annual audits and address follow-up questions
- Analyze yearly tax filings, working with external tax advisors, to meet requirements
- Prepare analysis and communicate results to senior management and external stakeholders
- Research new financial reporting requirements and apply these standards and guidelines
- Consult with technical accounting experts to guide regulatory or policy changes
- Partner with stakeholders to understand processes and identify improvement opportunities
Requirements
- 4 years of accounting experience
- Public/combo accounting background
- Financial services industry experience
- Process improvement experience
- Self-starter and able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- CPA strongly preferred
- Skilled in NetSuite
