Job Description:
This is a key role in the Electrification Smart Power division in North America.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to minimize labor hours and maximize efficiency.
- You will have the opportunity to develop, configure, and optimize both existing and new manufacturing processes from inception through start-up and certification.
- The ideal candidate will perform process assessments, collecting and interpreting an array of measurements and data to determine the best solution.
- They will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle-time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.
- Providing documentation of process, visual, and quality standards, including fabrication of operating instructions where required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Conduct process assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Analyze data to optimize manufacturing processes and identify areas for cost savings.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 0-5 years relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma principles, and other process-related standards desired.
- Working knowledge of process engineering software packages.
- CAD or AutoCAD skills.
- Experience in process simulations preferred.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
Salary Range:$85,000 - $110,000 per year.
