Your role and responsibilitiesAs an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business. You will be mainly accountable for: *Manage waste regulatory compliance efforts by completing assessments of waste disposal sites used by ABB facilities *Support energy-efficiency, waste management, and water use minimization efforts *Perform data analysis, investigation, and reporting as required *Promote sustainability awareness within ABB *Learn about contaminated land management and environmental remediation efforts by participating in team meetings *Travel to ABB facilities to participate in environmental assessments as needed *Participate in personal and professional development programing
Qualifications for the role- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related fields in the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
