The ABC Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in supporting marketing leadership to align marketing initiatives with sales and business objectives. This role is responsible for managing the marketing calendar, coordinating the execution of all marketing activities, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms and departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop Strategic Marketing Plans: Create and execute marketing plans aimed at achieving sales and marketing goals as outlined by marketing leadership.
- Oversee Creative Services: Ensure that creative services meet the needs of all ABC business units and align with overall marketing strategy.
- Manage the Marketing Calendar: Create and maintain the marketing calendar, ensuring stakeholders are informed and have adequate lead time to meet deadlines.
- Own Campaign Workflows: Manage campaign workflows in Asana to ensure deadlines, deliverables, and team responsibilities are clearly communicated and executed efficiently.
- Campaign Concept Review: Collaborate with marketing leadership to review and align on campaign concepts before production begins.
- Creative Approval Process: Manage the creative approval process for all marketing collateral, ensuring key stakeholders are involved and informed.
- Workload Management: Oversee and balance the workload of copywriters and graphic designers to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Campaign Brief Development: Work closely with external creative consultants to develop comprehensive campaign briefs that outline goals, objectives, target audience, required components (e.g., emails, banner ads, social ads), and relevant product information.
- Liaison for External Partners: Act as the primary point of contact for external creative partners, including freelancers and agencies.
- Inventory Coordination: Verify that inventory levels for special product releases or sales are adequate before launching campaigns.
- Email Marketing: Experience with email marketing is a plus, especially familiarity with the Klaviyo platform for campaign execution, segmentation, and performance analysis.
Job Requirements
Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education
- 3-5 years experience in marketing or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills (Asana experience preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, collaborative approach
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Adobe, and Asana a plus
- Hybrid work environment, 25% in office and 75% remote
Physical Requirements
With or Without Accommodations
- May sit or stand at a workstation for up to 8 hours to handle computing and accounting work
- Routinely handles paperwork, materials, collateral, and other printing supplies and deliverables
- Occasionally needs to lift and/or transport up to 10 pounds of materials, reports or various items short distances, to and from the normal workstation
- Occasionally needs to stand or walk short distances to areas that are not immediately accessible from the workstation, such as the fax machine, printers or mailroom
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include; close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
