Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Vice President of Corporate Development to lead our strategic growth initiatives and drive our company's long-term success. The EVP of Corporate Development will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, managing mergers and acquisitions, and fostering strategic partnerships. This role is pivotal in shaping the future direction of our company and requires a visionary leader with a strong strategic mindset and exceptional negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution :
Develop and implement the corporate development strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
Lead the assessment and execution of strategic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other investment opportunities.
Mergers and Acquisitions :
Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities to enhance the company's market position and financial performance.
Oversee due diligence processes, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and integration planning for potential transactions.
Lead negotiations and manage relationships with target companies and stakeholders.
Partnerships and Alliances :
Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances that align with the company's growth strategy.
Cultivate relationships with key industry players, investment banks, and venture capital firms to foster business development opportunities.
Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence :
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and potential growth opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on market analysis and industry developments.
Financial and Risk Management :
Work closely with the finance team to ensure alignment of corporate development activities with financial goals and risk tolerance.
Oversee the financial evaluation and risk assessment of potential investments and strategic initiatives.
Leadership and Team Development :
Lead and mentor a high-performing corporate development team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team and across the organization.
Stakeholder Communication :
Communicate corporate development strategies and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and employees.
Represent the company in meetings with potential partners, investors, and at industry events.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Organizational Development, Logistics or related fields strongly desired
- 5 plus years' experience as a Manager
- Savvy MS Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Customer Service, Sales, Dispatch and / or Call Center Management experience a plus
- Good Presentation, Reporting and Communications skills (written and verbal) a must
