Abidi Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our client's team on an immediate basis. Must have top 3Project Procurement Expertise: Proven experience managing procurement for large CAPEX projects, including capital expenditure strategies and execution.
Pharma Industry Experience: Hands-on experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and non-GMP environments within the pharmaceutical sector.
Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated expertise in negotiating complex contracts and securing favorable terms.
Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies and detailed procurement plans.
Lead all sourcing activities, including supplier scouting, selection, approval, and contracting.
Plan and execute sourcing events such as RFPs and RFXs while ensuring value, speed, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
Utilize advanced evaluation techniques, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and risk assessments, to support decision-making.
Maintain documentation and prepare detailed reports on sourcing activities, market insights, and bid evaluations.
Ensure all sourcing activities align with the organization's procurement policy and pre-agreed strategies.
Monitor supplier performance, proactively addressing and resolving issues to maintain project efficiency and compliance.
Negotiate high-complexity contracts, securing optimal terms and conditions with legal support.
Manage and maintain contract documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Partner with internal departments to drive initiatives and achieve project objectives.
Facilitate effective communication and input sharing among key stakeholders.
Collaborate with the cost control and procurement teams to verify invoice alignment with purchase orders, contract deliverables, and project plans.
Support project managers in monitoring the change order approval process and resolving related issues.
Develop and maintain project management reports using Power BI, Teams, and Excel.
Create high-level project plans outlining scope, work packages, timelines, milestones, governance, roles, risks, and resource allocation.
Conduct critical path analyses and manage project knowledge repositories.
Facilitate onboarding and training for new team members.
Gather insights to develop comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans.
Define strategies for consistent stakeholder alignment and communication.
Address unforeseen challenges by involving and informing relevant stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. An associate degree with 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, CAPEX projects, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven track record in leading sourcing activities for comparable categories.
Certifications: Project Management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel.
Travel: Ability to travel to the project site in Waltham, MA, as needed.
Experience working in large, matrixed organizations.
