What are the responsibilities and job description for the AHS Head Girls Basketball Coach position at Abilene High School?
Desired characteristics include but are not limited to:
__Have strong knowledge of and the ability to teach the skills of baskeball.
__Work cohesively with and lead a staff.
__Fulfill all duties associated with being a head coach.
__Ability to communicate with all stakeholders in a professional manner.
__Build appropriate coach to player relationships.
__Make game time decisions while leading any squad during play.
__Adhere to all state, district, and school policies and procedures.
__Be passionate not only about the sport of basketball but also the learning of life skills that extra-curricular activities provide.
__Commit to being available for practice and game schedules throughout the season.
__Willingness to work toward a cohesive 7-12 program and help with appropriate youth programs for purpose of growing the sport of girls basketball and securing its future.
__Help with offseason training and program enhancement as appropriate.
__We a proponent for weight training and physical conditioning within the program.
