What are the responsibilities and job description for the AHS Head Dance Coach position at Abilene Unified School?
Abilene High School is taking applications for our head dance coaching position that will be available for the 2025-26 school year.
Duties / characteristics include (but not limited to) the following.
A background in a varitiey of dance styles.
Ability to lead a goup of students through choreography and performance preparation.
Ability to organize, lead, and complete a tryout process.
Willingness to take squad to summer camp for team bonding and skill development.
Willingness to fundraise for wants that excede district alotted budget.
Following all guidelines set forth by the KSHSAA, USD 435, and Abilene High School.
Fostering an environment of creativity, participant input, and high energy while upholding the core characteriscs of respect, perseverance, accountability, integrity, and cooperation.
Ability to work with other activities.
Maintain communication links with administration.
Being of sound judgement in routines taught / performed being of appropriate content for age group along with community representation.
