Pay Rate: $23.25 - $23.75 / hour
We are currently seeking two Assistant Residential Program Managers for our newest residential program in Beacon, NY. The Assistant Residential Program Manager is assists the Residential Program Manager in the overall provision of services and supports for assigned individuals in residential programs. The Assistant Residential Program Manager is responsible for the daily implementation of each individual’s Treatment Plan. The position provides shift supervision, direction, and training to direct care staff and overall daily operations of the program in the Residential Program Manager’s absence. In implementing programs and services, the Assistant Residential Manager facilitates each individual’s personal choice, increased independence, and enhanced quality of life.
Howland Avenue, located in Beacon, New York is Ability Beyond's newest and largest home. Built in 2013, Howland is home to 14 individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and have medically complex needs. There is a large staffing pattern which includes 24 hour nursing. In addition to residential services, Howland has a day program on site which is especially unique to us. We have an amazing sensory stimulation room which our individuals engage in and enjoy on regular basis. The individuals of Howland enjoy going out into the community and participating in various sensory stimulation activities. What makes our program amazingly awesome is that we are able to provide individuals who were once institutionalized with a beautiful state of the art forever home that is accessible, equipped to meet their needs and staffed with compassionate well trained staff to care for them. Each individual has their own their own room and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful and serene as we sit atop of a mountain with incredible seasonal views.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on creating and executing individualized Treatment Plans.
- Ensure health, safety, and emotional well-being of individuals served.
- Secure personal belongings, maintain financial records, and support household management.
- Train and mentor direct care staff on program routines and documentation.
- Maintain schedules and staffing ratios.
- Complete required documentation and ensure compliance with billing requirements.
- Facilitate community involvement through work, recreation, and volunteer activities.
- Support individuals in activities of daily living, such as personal care, cooking, and transportation.
- Act as a mentor and hands-on support for staff and individuals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years of full-time related experience, or two (2) years of college with a concentration in a related field and one (1) year of full-time related experience.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
- Experience working in direct care or in a group home setting preferred
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications, including Medication Administration, CPR, and First Aid within required timeframes.
