We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide essential support to individuals with a physical, intellectual or developmental disability in their home.
This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for children under 21 years old.
Location: Palm Bay
Available Shifts:
Full-time, 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday
Part-time, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Weekend Shifts:
- 8 am to 8 pm - Saturday, Sunday
- 8 am to 4 pm - Saturday, Sunday
- 4 pm to 8 pm - Saturday, Sunday
Job Type: employee (W-2)
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Pay Period: bi-weekly
Responsibilities Include But is Not Limited To
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and snacks according to individual dietary preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for the individual, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Offer companionship and support to enhance the quality of life for the individual.
- Provide direct support for individuals with cognitive challenges and/or physical limitations.
Skills
- Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or
- Experience caring for individuals in a child care, group home, medical, psychiatric, or nursing facility.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals while considering dietary restrictions.
- Familiarity with de-escalation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards individuals needs.
- Good organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the individuals home.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care and support to enhance the lives of those served.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pass background screening
- Experience with caring for individuals with physical, intellectual and/or developmental disability - autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, ADHD, etc. or
- Experience in caring for individuals in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, child care, or group home
- Current CPR certificate
- Current HIV/AIDS and Infection Control certificate
