Job Summary
The Referral Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing patient referrals and ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers. Duties
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for referred patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process referral requests and ensure timely follow-up with patients and providers.
- Assist with medical coding, including ICD-10, to ensure proper documentation of referrals.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their referral status and any necessary follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with office staff to streamline referral processes and improve patient care.
Skills
- Proficient in medical records management and coding practices.
- Knowledge of managed care systems and insurance verification processes.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling multiple tasks.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.61 - $19.25 per hour
